thx mate. Positive words are always nice to hear/read!
Your welcome!
Actually you can already. I just put some 'MacRumors' text on the back to maybe steal some folders from other teams when i release the beta to the whole wide world ;).
Ahh smart indeed! ;)

This survey is seriously flawed. I've been unable to secure an AT&T iPad within the 3 stores near me.
Verizon iPad? They have them, at all combinations. Wi-Fi? Hit and Miss, but AT&T iPads are gone.

I wonder what this means for being able to install virtual servers on Parallels and the like?

First, it would be patented material, not copyrighted material. And patent infringement, especially design patents, is really quite easy to pursue.
Quite possibly there are no actual patents covering the design of the case (would not pass requirement for non-obviousness or inventive step, unless some exotic materials are used, for example). What they no doubt have is an industrial design right to the case, which are called design patents in the US. They might also have trademark protection on shape. And, naturally, a contract with the actual manufacturer, which might pursue the person for stealing their products, if the products are not legally the property of Apple. This would not be an option if they are produced by some third party. There may be copyrights involved, if the product is deemed to pass the "threshold of originality". Some countries have laws on good business practices, which may apply in this case.
All in all, if it seems unlikely that a 17-year old kid could legally sell this stuff and make a bundle, it is probably true.

I know there's no real estate for it, but I wouldn't complain it if had a dedicated Ethernet port.
1. An SD slot for the 11 inch - I'm a blogger and would like to be able to upload pictures without the use of a converter or hooking my camera up to the computer
Have you tried an Eye-Fi memory card? I picked one up recently and it's made offloading photos from the camera SO much easier.

This dock means that the future iPhones will sync throught thunderbolt with macs and with usb 3.0 for pcs!!! I guess thins means macs wont come with usb 3.0, so maybe an adapter would come out sometime...
I repeat: sync to macs with thunderbolt and sync to pcs with usb 3.0!!
I hope they do this in the next iPhone- the thunderbolt speed.

I am JB and have biteSMS. This is the reason the new version won't work? I'm logged in but everything keeps popping up 'Error' on every page.
Is the only option to restore the old one by syncing with iTunes on my computer?
yes this is the reason. try it yourself.
and yes. i updated FB on my phone. so i just deleted it, and then re-sync'd my phone with the older version of FB.

Okay, I fixed it! I enter in the -advmethods in advanced and that got me one to work on straight away! Apparently this is quite a common problem, so if you're having problems with your Folding@Home, then try that tag and it'll probably work. Now I'm using my full CPU and Folding away!

thanks for joining! and glad you got it fixed!
you can look at your log file to see the status of the current unit you're working on. once you complete a unit, could take 12 hours or so, depending on the unit, then you'll show up on the stats page

I live in Arizona and we don't follow daylight savings time, but my phone jumped an hour ahead. I'm on AT&T btw
Set your phone & computer's time zone to Arizona time, and sync again. Does that help?

This would greatly improve the usability of airplay, in my opinion.
Imagine you had your TV on some random channel, while surfing the internet on your iPad. If your TV supported AirPlay, then you could just click the Airplay button on your iPad, and the random channel would be changed to the Airplay content. You wouldn't have to change the tuners over to Apple TV. Much more convenient.
This.
I like Airplay, but the added step of having to change inputs to apple tv, while admittedly minimal, is still enough of an inconvenience to keep my wife from using it very often.
Also, I notice that airplay doesn't seem to work when I'm playing internet radio on my apple tv 2G. I have to stop the radio from playing and back out to the main menu on the apple tv before it will accept an airplayed photo from my iphone 4, for example. Anyone else notice this behavior?

It was announced, ... that with SP1, contacts, calendar and notes can now be synced through iTunes. BUT it doesn't! Anyone know what happened?
It does. You need to go into Tools --> Synch Services and enable calendar sync. I then restarted Outlook and iTunes, synced my iPhone (Info --> Advanced --> Replace info on this iPhone) and everything was there when I went into the calendar.
:apple:
EDIT: It also keeps the category colours from Outlook which is awesome, as Entourage never managed to do this.

my thoughts: iOS 5 will have a new revamped UI. The dock will now have a launchpad icon that will bring up all the applications. There will be no need for badges as the notifications will be present on the main page just like widgets. There will be feeds/social widgets on homepages that integrate with social networks i.e. Ping, Facebook, and Twitter..
Just my 2 cents.
That seems like a copy of the Android interface...

So he really doesn't wear anything besides jeans and black turtleneck...huh :)
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It'd be interesting to see his closets - wonder if he has dozens of black turtlenecks, all in a row...

The older models are no longer being made, that is correct.
My guess, as I stated earlier...So the only model they're going to sell is the Elite Slim one once the supplies on the current Arcade and Pro are out?

I have never heard of this guy. But having Geocities, Yahoo, and Microsoft on a resume doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence.
